| bacon penne alfredo |
|
16 oz uncooked penne
12-16 oz package sliced bacon
1/2 package fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 tsp minced garlic
2 cups whipping cream or half and half
1 cup grated parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 cup sliced green onions |
Cook pasta by package directions.
Meanwhile, cook bacon in skillet until crisp; remove and drain on paper towels.
Reserve 2 T drippings in skillet. Saute mushrooms and garlic in hot drippings
3 minutes until tender. Stir in cream, Parmesan cheese, and pepper then pasta.
Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer uncovered until sauce is thickened,
stirring often. Stir in crumbled bacon and sliced green onions. |
