1 loaf french bread, cut in 2-inch cubes
8 eggs
3 cups milk (2 c milk + 1 c cream)
4 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1 tbl vanilla
2 tsp cinnamon

cinnamon-sugar |
Place bread cubes tightly in a greased 13x9 baking dish. Beat together eggs, milk (cream),
sugar, salt, vanilla, and cinnamon. Pour over bread. Cover and refrigerate overnight, 6-36 hours.
Remove from refrigerator and drain off excess liquid. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Remove;
baste with butter and sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar. Return to oven for 5 minutes.
Apple Topping:
4 apples, cut into chunks (peeling optional)
1/2 c sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
Mix apples, sugar, and cinnamon. Heat in microwave on high for 1 minute. Stir. Return to
microwave for another 30-60 seconds. Spoon over french toast servings.
